Process Description

Varnishing refers to covering a layer of clear varnish on the surface of patterns, which serves to achieve waterproof, scratch-resistant, and high-gloss effects. It is relatively wear-resistant and anti-pollution, and can prevent the surface ink from being easily wiped off. The raw materials used for varnishing include three types: oil-based varnish, water-based varnish, and UV varnish. Generally speaking, varnishing, glazing, and applying varnish are actually the same thing. Varnishing mainly includes glossy varnish and matte varnish.

DifferencesThe main difference between matte varnish and glossy varnish lies in brightness. Printed matter treated with glossy varnish has a smooth texture and glossiness; glossy varnish enhances the brightness of printed matter and increases the reflective effect. Matte varnish can make printed matter more high-end.
